  • Review progress and utility of advances in diagnosis and staging, including MRI, PET and pathology
  • Recognize the role cancer stem cells play in the development and reoccurrence of breast cancer and identify novel strategies being developed targeting these stem cells
  • Identify important growth and survival pathways for breast cancer, including steroid hormone receptors, the HER/ErbB family, IGFR, and mediators of angiogenesis, as well as the novel agents that target these pathways and apply this knowledge in clinical practice
  • Evaluate key updates in adjuvant and neoadjuvant chemotherapies, endocrine therapies, systemic treatments without chemotherapy, and biologic combinations to optimize and individualize treatment for patients with breast cancer
  • Relate the use of bisphosphonates for both bone health and to reduce the recurrence risk to the management of patients in defined clinical scenarios
  • Learn about current and future clinical trials open for the referral of appropriate patients
